The first time I met Viola I was stunned by her looks. She has this classic Nordic look with a androgyne touch to it. This was the start of the Viola x Beauty project where we create portraits that challenge the beauty standards of today. To you need to have long hair or is it OK with a shaved head and unshaved armpits as a woman?
During the launch of their SS18 street wear collection I was a part of their This is PP by… social media campaign. They asked different influencers and creatives to interpret their collection with a personal touch. I asked my good friend Hannah Ohlsson who is a model and ballet dancer, now living in Copenhagen to be the star in my images. During two hectic days we roamed around Copenhagen’s most iconic spots and photographed the key pieces we selected.
It was during studies in Australia that I first encountered ballet. The university I attended had a branch of performing arts. Coming from a background in the action sports world and with a keen interest in the esthetics of fashion and fashion photography this was the perfect mix. I fell in love on the spot. Now I’m working on a book in the subject of fashion and ballet.
Im very proud to have contributed to this amazing magazine supporting the homeless people of Stockholm. The opportunity to photograph one of Sweden’s last real icons was an honor. Sven-Bertil Taube portrayed in his home in London. Just the experience to sit there and listen to his amazing life story was worth the trip.
During studies at Berghs School of Communication here in Stockholm I got the possibility for an internship at BLK DNM at their HQ in NYC. I had been very interested in both BLK DNM and Johan Lindeberg as brands for a long time. The experience to be able to follow him work up close was a very rewarding one. One of the days we did a fashion shoot in his Brooklyn studio featuring Victoria Secret angel Barbara Fialho. The images later got featured on their social accounts.
The PhotoVogue platform by Italian Vogue and their senior photo editor Alessia Glaviano is an amazing platform. The opportunity for emerging fashion photographers all over the world to get exposed to their editors and other professionals in the fashion industry is priceless. I have had the honor to have 17 images selected so far.
Fashion photography has always been catching my eye. I love the creative freedom and artistic spirit that fashion give you. Nothing is right and nothing is wrong. My own goal is to create timeless images. I’m inspired by the old masters such as Penn and Avedon as well as Mert and Marcus.
One of my really big passions in life is portraits. I have such an genuine interest in other peoples stories. How is their life, what do they have to tell the world? Taking some ones portrait and capturing their essence and personality in one image is just amazing.
I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel as a living. From photographing my friends skiing around the world to just exploring new land as a keen interest. So far I have been in 11% of the world (Europe 38%, Asia 6%, North America 2%, Oceania 6%). Using the app Been.
Swedish fashion brand JOFAMA has a long legacy in leather works. I went down to Copenhagen Fashion Week in 2014 to photograph their brand ambassadors and fashion bloggers Caroline Roxy and Kristine Ullebø.
I was the first Scandinavian photographer to attend their internship back in 2010. After that I was their brand ambassador and content specialist when it came to photography in Sweden. Red Bull did send me on some really fun and challenging assignments. How about photographing on top of a arena?
During the years I have been nominated and won some awards for my work. How about semifinalist in Red Bull Illume 2009 (top 150 of 30 000 images) or selected by LensCulture editors for the Competition Gallery in the portrait awards 2018. I won the Nine Knights 2009 competition with best single image. I won the glory and a pair of 19” rims for my -89 SAAB.
